Chris Brown Isn't Done With Vanessa Carlton After She Slams Him For Domestic Abuse

Chris Brown seemed to unintentionally anger singer Vanessa Carlton on Thursday (March 8), which just so happens to be International Women’s Day. After Brown allegedly posted a clip of Carlton’s 2001 video for “A Thousand Miles,” Carlton responded by reminding Brown he was a domestic abuser.

In a since-deleted Instagram post, Brown shared Carlton’s original post, which she also deleted.

“Today Chris Brown posted my video,” it read. “I am now being repeatedly tagged to his account. Being that today is International Women’s Day I feel compelled to draw a line. I support survivors not perpetrators of domestic violence. I do not want to be associated with an artist that has assaulted women on a day like today. Thank you. #internationalwomensday.”

Brown wasn’t done defending himself. In another Instagram post, he shared a short scene from the film White Chicks featuring Carlton’s hit song.

The caption read simply, “I LOVE THIS SONG.”

Brown, who was arrested in 2009 for beating up his then-girlfriend Rihanna, asserts he’s just a fan of the song. Naturally, Twitter had some polarizing opinions on the random social media beef.
