Jesus Is King became Kanye West’s ninth consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard 200. He tied Eminem’s streak for consecutive No. 1 entries in the chart’s history.

The project sold 264,000 equivalent album units for the week ending October 31. Approximately 109,000 of those were pure album sales.

Kanye’s only album to not debut at No. 1 was 2004’s The College Dropout.

T.I.’s guest appearance on the Ladies Like Us podcast sparked controversy. During the episode, the veteran rapper admitted to making sure his 18-year-old daughter Deyjah sees the gynecologist to “check her hymen” every year as a way to see if she’s still a virgin or not.

“So it’s this one time we go, I think this might have been after her 16th birthday,” he explained. “This is what we do… Usually, like the day after the [birthday] party, she’s enjoying her gifts. I put a sticky note on the door: ‘Gyno. Tomorrow. 9:30.’ So we’ll go and sit down and the doctor will come and talk and the doctor’s maintaining a high level of professionalism.”

A backlash ensued following T.I.’s comments, prompting the podcast episode to be deleted.

Domani Harris Admits J. Cole Co-Sign Caught Him “Off Guard”

J. Cole gave T.I.’s son Domani Harris major love the day his album Time Will Tell was released, calling it a classic. The up-and-coming rapper tells DX the co-sign was unexpected.

“That was the day my project came out,” he said. “I was in a mall passing out flyers and he called me back. I had called him when the album dropped. He didn’t answer, but he called me back and I was just surprised he had all of that to say. It really caught me off guard.”

Guapdad 4000 Talks His Filipino Side, “Dior Deposits” & Altercation With Russ

Prior to Guapdad 4000’s Day N Vegas Festival set, DX spoke with him about his new album Dior Deposits and how it all came together.

“It took me three years to finish Dior Deposits,” he revealed. “A lot of those songs happened in the quarter of the last year and that’s just because I got bigger as I was recording. But like, ‘Stunt on Ghosts’ is three years old. I started that beat by myself in combination with my little bro Mansa, who is a genius. And I just built off of his genius and we built that record, that’s so fucking old. ‘Iced Out Gold Chain’ is two years old.”
