Travis Scott has debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in his career. The multi-platinum selling artist’s latest single “Highest In The Room” has entered the chart at No. 1, which is the highest position any of his songs have reached in their first week.
Scott previously hit No. 1 with his Drake-assisted single “Sicko Mode,” but the track debuted at No. 4 in August 2018. After spending 17 weeks on the chart, the Astroworld cut finally made its way to the top spot last December.

The path to No. 1 was much quicker for “Highest In The Room” following its release on October 4. According to Nielsen Music, the song racked up 59 million U.S. streams in its opening week.
Those numbers also helped Scott reach No. 1 on the Streaming Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts. He settled for No. 2 on Digital Song Sales with 51,000 copies sold for the week ending October 10.
“Highest In The Room” bested Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” for the Hot 100’s top spot, knocking down her popular track to No. 2. Lizzo’s single, which appears on the deluxe edition of her Cuz I Love You album, spent six weeks at No. 1 before falling to Scott’s latest work.
