On Wednesday (August 28), Eminem seemingly responded to Lord Jamar’s frequent criticism in interviews with DJ Vlad and many others.

“People think they want this problem ’til they get it,” Em wrote.

Slim Shady’s longtime collaborator Royce Da 5’9 suggested Jamar should chill on the insults. But it seems as though the Brand Nubian MC doesn’t plan on taking heed to Nickel Nine’s suggestion.

“Every problem has a solution,” he tweeted on Thursday (August 29).

50 Cent Hypes “Power” Spin-Off

50 Cent wants everyone to stop saying the sixth season of STARZ’s hit show Power is its last.

“POWER BOOK II starts 48 hours after the finale, so stop saying this is the last season,” 50 wrote Friday (August 30) via Instagram. “THE PARTY IS NOT OVER.”

Mary J. Blige will reportedly be part of Power‘s spin-off.

While that’s good news, Power fans have been in an uproar over the show’s newly revamped theme “Big Rich Town” with Trey Songz replacing Joe. 50’s tired of people flaming him about it — and so is Trey.

However, Joe is happy about all the attention he’s been receiving from everyone who enjoys his version of “Big Rich Town” and made an Instagram post celebrating the love.

This week, 50 additionally voiced his frustrations over the lack of Emmy Award nominations his show has received. On social media, he invited the Emmys to kiss his “black ass in slow motion.”

50 also declared Chris Brown better than Michael Jackson and co-signed Joyner Lucas’ claims that Sha Money XL is shady.

Why A$AP Ferg Was Taken Off Rich The Kid’s “New Freezer”

A$AP Ferg chopped it up with DJ Whoo Kid this week and revealed how Kendrick Lamar would only turn in a verse for Rich The Kid’s “New Freezer” if K. Dot was the only feature.

“[Producer] Ben [Jayne] came through, and we did that song together with me, Rich The Kid and a few other niggas … MadeinTYO,” Ferg said. “This nigga wind up playing it for fucking, I think Jaden Smith, Kendrick Lamar, all these other niggas. And Kendrick was like, ‘Yo, I’ll get on it as long as everybody come off of it.’”

Ferg and MadeinTYO were on the original, which eventually leaked online.

#DXCLUSIVES: Little Brother, Murs & Lio Rush

Murs Unlocks Fatherhood’s Science & Explains How His Mother Saved His Life

In an exclusive interview with HipHopDX, Murs shared how moving from Los Angeles to the Valley saved his life.

“I believe my mom really saved my life, those three or four years where I wasn’t in the streets,” he said. “I was already saying ‘cuh’ to my mom at 9 years old. I was going to get jumped into a gang because we were all going to junior high and that’s just what you did. That summer of moving changed my life. But then going to the white kids, and they made fun of me, but elementary school’s not as bad. At least where I lived, it wasn’t as bad. Kids weren’t making fun of me yet. But when I got back to L.A. for high school, everyone made fun of me.”

Little Brother Explains Why They Kept “May The Lord Watch” A Secret

Little Brother’s May The Lord Watch has been a long time coming and speaking with DX, Rapper Big Pooh and Phonte discussed how they kept tight-lipped until it dropped.

“I’ve been chomping at the bit to get this album out,” Pooh revealed. “We started working on it back in October, and we held the secret tight until a couple months ago when we announced the Hopscotch Festival date. Even just being able to let people know we’re working on something was a big relief, finally. I was having to do a lot of sneaking around my friends. Finally just having the music out and people being able to hear the growth and where we are in 2019 — it feels good for it finally to be out.

WWE’s Lio Rush Explains Why He’s Turned To Hip Hop Amid Career Uncertainty

Speaking with DX, Lio Rush talked about beginning his rap career while coming from the world of WWE.

“There’s this stigma of doubt with professional wrestlers making a rap song,” Rush noted. “It’s always in the wrong direction as far as the content of the song. I just didn’t want to be associated with that.”
