Nav is officially out of retirement. After quitting music in an act of solidarity with Lil Uzi Vert, the XO Records artist has announced his return and plans to release a new album.

“My album ‘Bad Habits’ is dropping this Friday ! 3/22,” he wrote on social media.

Nav’s return was set into motion by his manager, who surprised fans by dropping a five-track EP containing previously unreleased songs last Thursday (March 14).

“I’m tired of hunting for @nav hard drive and waiting for him to come out of retirement!” Nav’s manager wrote on Instagram. “So here’s some songs I had on my phone that aren’t on his album.”

The free project, Brown Boy, prompted a response from Nav. The Toronto-bred artist hinted at an album release and shared his continued sympathy for Lil Uzi Vert.

“@cashxo youre an asshole,” he wrote. “@liluzivert I love you guys too.. fuck it imma just drop my real album next week! I just hope you get ur situation sorted out and you release the ‘e word.’”

Nav’s Bad Habits is scheduled to drop on March 22. It will be his second studio album and first release since 2018’s One Night EP with Guap Tarantino.
