Atlanta, GA – 21 Savage was arrested by ICE officials on Sunday (February 3) and remains detained. In the wake of his arrest, more details are starting to emerge. According to TMZ, the platinum-selling rapper was in possession of a loaded gun when he was pulled over.
The Saint Laurent Don was reportedly “driving recklessly” before hitting a marked cop car. Consequently, police pulled over his Red Dodge Challenger and discovered a Glock with an extended magazine inside his glove compartment. 21 was then taken by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Young Nudy and two other men were taken into custody as well. Several documents confirm multiple law enforcement agencies were involved, including DeKalb K-9 Unit, Vice Unit, Narcotics Unit, ATF, Georgia State Patrol and the DeKalb 90 Unit. Although there was no mention of ICE, a source at ATF insists ICE was on the scene.
21 is currently represented by legal experts Charles Kuck, Dina LaPolt and Tia Smith. On Wednesday (February 6), JAY-Z and Roc Nation hired attorney Alex Spiro to assist the case.
“In addition to being a successful recording artist, Savage deserves to be reunited with his children immediately,” Hov said in an official statement.
Despite having a pending U Visa application and no criminal convictions that make him deportable, 21 is being held without bond.
