Baltimore, MD – Philly Freeway checked into a Baltimore hospital on Tuesday morning (February 5) to undergo a kidney transplant. Judging by his recent Instagram post, Freeway was in good spirits before going into surgery and had the medical team laughing, saying the only thing he was allergic to was “haters.”
“It’s been a minute, but they’re about to take me in,” he says in the clip. “Pray for me man. God willing, this surgery goes good. See y’all in six hours. Pray for your boy.”

He added in the caption, “I’m going under now! Thanks for all the Love & support! Pray for me.”
Freeway was diagnosed with kidney failure several years ago. Last month, Freeway revealed he’d found a surgeon to perform the transplant and was inching closer to finally having the procedure.
The surgery follows his latest project, Think Free, which featured Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, Jadakiss, BJ The Chicago Kid, Fat Joe and Faith Evans, among others.
