Los Angeles, CA – Celebrated and world renown radio personality DJ Carisma is venturing in some big business territory that is sure to boost her stock in the industry.
The Global Spin Awards Female DJ of the Year has just partnered with TuneIn, Inc. for a new Hip Hop station titled “The Element.” She’s also assumed the lead role of Hip-Hop / R&B curation and artist relations at the 75 million-strong platform.
“‘The Element’ combines my personal passion of breaking and supporting new artists with TuneIn’s commitment to deliver the world’s best listening experiences.” DJ Carisma says, Hip-Hop / R&B curation and artist relations lead at TuneIn. “I’ve dedicated my life to promoting the music and artists I believe in and ‘The Element’ takes this dedication to a whole new level. We are changing the industry!”
DJ Carisma and a select artist will pick the show’s music, in addition to live-to-tape commentary. So far, Sheck Wes, Black Youngsta, G Herbo, and King Combs have all confirmed to appear on the segment.
And come October 11, “The Element West” will stake its claim on TuneIn and will also be hosted by DJ Carisma. The forthcoming station is said to be the first 24-hour station dedicated to nothing but repping West Coast artists and culture. A practice Carisma’s co-founded Young California movement has laid the framework down for years.
To cap off his excitement, a certain DJ Khaled also chimed in, “Carisma, I see what you’re doin’, and I love what you’re doing. ‘The Element.’ That’s right, Hip Hop. Everybody tune in to ‘The Element!’
