As protests took place outside of the White House over the weekend, Donald Trump was nowhere to be found. According to the Associated Press, Secret Service agents rushed the current leader of the free world to a White House bunker on Friday night (May 29) as hundreds of protestors rallied in the name of George Floyd.
Ice-T, who clearly caught wind of the news, thought Trump should’ve addressed the mob of people but in the same tweet, second guessed himself.

After a Twitter troll told the gangsta rap pioneer he was sitting on a “very lovely high horse,” Ice was prepared with an appropriate response.

Ice is one of the many Hip Hop artists speaking out in the wake of Floyd’s death. The 46-year-old black man died on May 25 after white Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on his neck for roughly nine minutes. He was rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Although all four officers were fired and Chauvin was arrested on charges of third-degree murder and manslaughter, the other three officers remain free. Subsequently, countless protests and riots have erupted across the United States.
In a statement, JAY-Z noted he’d spoken to Minnesota governor Tim Walz who confirmed he’d handed off the Floyd case to Attorney General Keith Ellison.
