Hollywood, CA – MC, actor and marijuana enthusiast Xzibit recently stopped by the HipHopDX headquarters where he discussed joining Dr.Dre’s Up In Smoke Tour in 2000.

The tour featured an epic lineup at the time — Ice Cube, Eminem, Snoop Dogg alongside a host of guest appearances.

“Imagine reading The Avengers comic book and then being in The Avengers,” said Xzibit. “Look, I gotta contain myself because I’m used to reading the back of these covers. I’m used to seeing them on TV and now we’re praying together, walking out on stage and the crowd is considering me a part of this family.”

Of course, the former Pimp My Ride host jumped at the opportunity and didn’t really care what time he hit the stage.

“Dre came to me and said I got two options,” X to the Z said. “You can go on before Warren G or you can come out and do three songs during my set. What time I gotta be there?”

Around the time, X was promoting his third full-length studio album Restless. The most successful album of his career, the album featured singles “X” and “Get Your Walk On” and was eventually certified platinum. A year prior, he’d made his turning guest verse on Snoop Dogg’s charting “Bitch Please” from No Limit Top Dogg.

X is currently promoting his premium brand of marijuana and smoking accessories called Napalm (named after his 2012 album) alongside the sister brand Just Mary.
