Janet Jackson is gearing up for her first album since 2015’s Unbreakable. The multi-platinum selling singer announced a new LP titled Black Diamond as well as a supporting tour of the same name on Monday (February 10).

“Hey U Guys!” she wrote via Instagram. “I’ve heard all your wishes and now from my lips to your ears. I’m working on my new album and going on a brand new World Tour this summer! Both titled Black Diamond.”

She continued, “Black Diamonds are the toughest of all the diamonds, the hardest to cut. I see that as the hardest to hurt or destroy. There is a lot that I have endured. I see myself as a Black Diamond in its purest form. I’m a rock, I have ruff edges but I keep moving forward. I want to show you my strength as well as give you strength.”

Jackson didn’t share a timeframe for her Black Diamond album’s release, but her tour is scheduled to begin this summer. The Rhythm Nation artist will kick off her run of concerts at the American Airlines Arena in Miami on June 24.

Tickets for Jackson’s tour go on sale to the general public on Thursday (February 13) at noon. Fans subscribed to her mailing list will receive special access to a pre-sale code on Tuesday (February 11).

Additional tour dates, including a European leg of the Black Diamond World Tour, will be announced later. An August 23 show in Tacoma, Washington is the last confirmed concert as of press time.
