Lil Bibby, who served as a mentor to Juice Wrld and signed the late rapper to his Grade A Productions imprint, broke his silence on his artist’s death on Tuesday (December 17). The rapper-turned-executive mourned the loss of his friend and signee via Instagram.
“Rest easy lil brother,” he wrote. “Young GOAT, Most talented I’ve ever witnessed. You will be missed. Watched you 1 take platinum records. Gonna miss u freestyling around the crib all day even though that shit got a lil irritating. Most genuine person I’ve ever met. Miss u, love u brother.”

While Bibby’s initial post was somber, he also shared some lighthearted memories of Juice’s spending habits in the comments.
“Watched him spend millions of dollars of clothes,” he wrote. “And he would dress so shitty. He used to think he was fresh asl.”
Bibby added, “All you had to do was say ‘it’s only 10 of these in the world’ and he would pay whatever. No talking him out of it. Watched him buy shoes for 25k. To wear them 1 time playing basketball in them. Them shits was so beat after that.”
Juice, whose real name was Jarad Higgins, passed away at the age of 21 on December 8. The multi-platinum selling rapper suffered a seizure at Chicago Midway International Airport after reportedly swallowing multiple Percocet pills. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The Interscope Records artist was laid to rest at a private funeral on December 13. Two days later, his girlfriend Ally Lotti appeared at Rolling Loud Los Angeles and spoke publicly about his death for the first time.
