HipHopDX – This week in Hip Hop, Kanye West finally delivered his Jesus Is King album in all its glory. Also, Nicki Minaj got married and Angela Yee unfollowed The Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne Tha God on Instagram following his interview with Gucci Mane.

Kanye West Drops Jesus Is King

After several delays, Kanye West’s Jesus Is King finally saw the light of day on Friday (October 25).

The project contains 11 religious vibes featuring guest appearances from Clipse, Kenny G and Ty Dolla $ign. But the release wasn’t smooth as the LP didn’t arrive at midnight like most albums.

Due to the mixes on a few songs needing to be fixed, the album showed up hours later on Friday morning.

Nicki Minaj Gets Married

Nicki Minaj now goes by Onika Maraj-Petty.

In an Instagram post, the Black Barbie revealed her new legal name as she and fiancé Kenneth Petty officially tied the knot on Monday (October 21).

Although the two are married, they’re still waiting to have proper ceremony. Nicki is reportedly planning two weddings, according to TMZ.

Angela Yee Unfollows Charlamagne Tha God After Gucci Mane Interview

Earlier this month, Gucci Mane claimed The Breakfast Club hosts Angela Yee and DJ Envy banned him from the show despite the two radio personalities — as well as Charlamagne Tha God — confirming otherwise.

Since the alleged ban, Guwop pointed out an old interview on the show in which he called out Yee for attempting to sleep with him in the past. Yee insisted there was no ban but did admit she wanted a public apology because she doesn’t trust him.

Amid this drama, Charlamagne took the opportunity to interview Gucci on his own platform where Guwop threatened to “slap” Envy and doubled down on his claim of Yee trying to get with him.

Since the interview, Yee has unfollowed her co-host Charlamagne on Instagram.
