Queens, NY – The Fader has obtained a letter from the New York City Police Department requesting several acts be removed from the Rolling Loud Festival lineup, including Casanova, Pop Smoke, Sheff G, Don Q and 22GZ.
The event takes place on Saturday (October 12) and Sunday (October 12) at the Citi Field in Queens but because of each artist’s alleged gang affiliations, the NYPD doesn’t want them to participate.

The letter reads in part, “The above listed performers have been affiliated with recent acts of violence citywide. The New York City Police Department believes if these individuals are allowed to perform, there will be a higher risk of violence. I look forward to working with you in an effort to keep this event safe.”
Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif explained via Twitter the festival organizers will still pay every artist their full performance fees and try to book them at other Rolling Loud festivals around the country.
“I can’t speak on this much,” he wrote. “but I want everyone to know that we are still paying all of those artists full booking fees AND sending them offers for future Rolling Loud’s in other cities.”

Rolling Loud has a packed lineup this weekend. Travis Scott, Wu-Tang Clan, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky and Lil Uzi Vert are just a handful of the acts booked for the event.
