Ludacris Raises $100K For Bahamian Hurricane Dorian Relief Efforts

Atlanta, GA – Ludacris drew in several notable names to Atlanta for his annual Ludaday Weekend celebrity basketball game. Jamie Foxx, John Wall, Megan Good, Tyrese, YFN Lucci and Blac Youngsta were just a few of those on deck.

The event also consisted of a golf and bowling tournament as well as a fundraiser to support Hurricane Dorian relief efforts. Earlier this week, Luda revealed via Instagram he’d raised over $100,000.

“Over $100k raised over the weekend,” he wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to all who showed up and showed out, now watch me work.”

The 2019 celebration mark the 14th Ludaday Weekend.

Ludacris remarked about the tenure of the event Instagram video saying, “Love  to all of the fans and thank you from the bottom of my heart because we continue to lead by example, we continue to give back to the city, we continue to raise money for the inner-city kids and we continue to show love.”

According to a recent report from USA Today, the death toll in the Bahamas has risen to 43 and is expected to rise, and property loss as a result of Hurricane Dorian is estimated to reach upwards of $7 billion.
