Twitter Erupts After Donald Trump Appears To Take Credit For A$AP Rocky's Release

Washington, D.C. – Moments after the news broke A$AP Rocky was free to go home, Donald Trump jumped on Twitter to declare Rocky’s — at least temporary — freedom.

While it’s true 45 attempted to intervene on Rocky’s behalf, Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven immediately shut down his request, saying the Swedish government “cannot and will not attempt to influence the legal proceedings.” Instead of respecting Löfven’s stance, Trump proceeded to shame him on Twitter.

“Very disappointed in Prime Minister Stefan Löfven for being unable to act,” Trump tweeted on July 25. “Sweden has let our African American Community down in the United States. I watched the tapes of A$AP Rocky, and he was being followed and harassed by troublemakers. Treat Americans fairly! #FreeRocky.”

As a result, countless Twitter users found it rather humorous Trump’s tweet appeared to insinuate he had something do with Rocky’s release.

“A$AP Rocky released from prison and on his way home to the United States from Sweden,” he tweeted. “It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP!”

People started to call out Trump immediately.
