Jada Pinkett-Smith Admits She Thinks About Tupac "Every Single Day"

New York, NY – Jada Pinkett-Smith’s relationship with Tupac Shakur stretches back decades. The actress/talk show host met the slain Hip Hop legend on her first day at Baltimore School of the Arts, and they quickly became friends.

Although there was a “disgusting kiss” they once shared, they remained strictly plutonic friends until his untimely demise.

During a recent interview with MTV, Pinkett-Smith briefly touched on her feelings toward ‘Pac and admitted he’s never far from her thoughts.

After all, Shakur is the one who told the Hughes brothers she’d be perfect for a role in 1993’s Menace II Society. Although ‘Pac had a falling out with the Hughes brothers and didn’t end up starring in the film, it wound up being Pinkett-Smith’s “first big break.”

His 1996 death proved to be extremely difficult for her.

“There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about Pac,” she said at the 6:20-minute mark. “I think about him every single day.”

Pinkett-Smith often talks about ‘Pac. In a July 2017 interview with Sway In The Morning, she admitted she was a drug dealer when she met the rap luminary.

“It’s kind of hard because I haven’t really told the whole story,” Pinkett-Smith said. “One of the things that’s very interesting that I’ve never really said before is that when I first met ‘Pac … when we first met, I was a drug dealer.”

Their relationship was portrayed in the 2017 ‘Pac biopic All Eyez On Me, but Pinkett-Smith wasn’t pleased with the “reimagining” of their time together, which she made clear in a series of tweets. She plans on detailing more of her time with ‘Pac in an upcoming book.
