Logic’s has opted to give his label a facelift by switching up its moniker. On Wednesday (June 19), the multi-platinum selling artist revealed his Elysium Records will now be known as BobbyBoy Records.

“I’ve decided to change the title of Elysium Records to BobbyBoy Records,” he said in a video uploaded to Instagram. “And the reason I’m gonna do this is because I really feel like BobbyBoy is becoming an empire.

“From books, film, television, it’s just really been a beautiful creative space and I want that name and that brand to mean something. So, I’d rather have all of my endeavors in one place, which really excites me.”

Logic also noted he’s got a few new artists signed to his rechristened BobbyBoy Records, but he didn’t share their identities in the social media clip. The New York Times best-selling author did say his label is following the model of Roc-A-Fella Records.

“Another beautiful thing is BobbyBoy Records is on its Roc-A-Fella shit because it’s partnered with Def Jam and Universal Music Group,” he explained. “It’s amazing. I can’t even believe I’m in the position to do all this shit, which is super weird.”

Logic’s label name change continues a busy year for the Billboard chart-topping rapper. In March, he released his debut novel Supermarket along with a soundtrack of the same name. Two months later, he dropped a new studio album titled Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind.
