Chicago, IL – Actor Bryshere Gray, who plays one of the Lyon children on the FOX series Empire, was arrested on Thursday (June 13).
TMZ says Chicago police pulled Gray over for a registration issue. Not only did the tags not match the car, officers quickly discovered he was driving his 2014 Rolls Royce without a license or insurance.

Gray was arrested, booked on three misdemeanors and released on a $2,000 bond, according to the Chicago Police Department. He was cited for driving without a license or insurance and not having proper registration.
Empire is in its final season. Co-creator Lee Daniels reportedly believes the show’s demise is due to the controversy surrounding Empire actor Jussie Smollett.
The actor/singer was accused of staging his own hate-fueled attack in January and eventually charged with 16 felonies related to the incident. Prosecutors ultimately dropped all charges in March, while Empire was renewed for Season 6 — without Smollett.
