Snoop Dogg Is Selling His Lakers Booth Tickets For $5

Los Angeles, CA – With the Lakers’ playoff hopes dwindling by the day — according to Bleacher Report, they’re currently a -900 bet to bet to miss the postseason — fan frustration is swelling considerably. Of the celebrity supporters who line the iconic purple and gold courtside, Snoop Dogg has been perhaps the most vocal with his disdain. Now, he says he’s willing to let his booth tickets go for $5.

Taking to his social media over the weekend, Snoop issued a spiteful rant against the Lakers, saying, “Bad year, man … Somebody’s got to go, fuck this shit, somebody’s got to go. Matter fact, a lot of niggas got to go — starting with the coach.”

A proud L.A. native, Snoop is tired of watching his hometown team squander their potential as they find themselves precariously looking at the playoffs from the outside. With a 30-33 record — including Snoop’s rant-inducing 118 – 109 loss to the 15-31 Phoenix Suns — they are currently 10th in the west — four-and-a-half games back from the eighth-seeded Spurs.

In addition to lamenting ostensibly the entire Lakers organization, save for LeBron James, Snoop doubled-down on his exasperation by offering his box suite tickets for $5. Typically worth a four-figure sum, Snoop is clearly pessimistic about the historic franchise’s immediate future — and he isn’t mincing words.

“Sick of this: trying to act like it’s going to be alright, it’s going to be cool, they’ll figure it out, they’re going to grow … Get LeBron some fucking help! … I’ve got a booth for the next two, three years. This year, y’all can have it — $5 for a muthafuckin’ booth to a Lakers game.”

Given the Lakers’ consecutive five-year playoff drought, and the promise of restored tradition with the mega-signing of LeBron James in the offseason, Snoop is understandably irritated by their lackluster play.

With only 19-games left in their season and the seventh-toughest strength-of-schedule, panic is beginning to set-in in Southern California as this would be LeBron’s first time missing the playoffs since the 2004 – 2005 season.
