Inmates Furious Tekashi 6ix9ine Is Getting Star Treatment Behind Bars

New York, NY – Tekashi 6ix9ine has officially been behind bars for a week after being arrested on racketeering and weapons charges last Saturday (November 17). After spending a few days at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, the polarizing rapper was moved to a different facility for “security reasons.”

According to TMZ, as soon as 6ix9ine arrived, a dormitory was evacuated and the only inmates allowed back in we’re those who weren’t affiliated with a gang. He was then grouped together with 11 other “docile” inmates in this particular dorm, which is typically used for “high-profile inmates, dirty cops and child predators.”

Several of the inmates reportedly started shouting about 6ix9ine being given — what they perceived as — “special treatment.”

Lance Lazzaro, 6ix9ine’s lawyer, is doubtful the facility is rolling out the red carpet for 6ix9ine, but the inmates evidently feel otherwise.

6ix9ine and four of his ex-crew members were indicted on 17 different charges earlier this week. Charges include using or carrying a firearm during and in relation to, or possessing a firearm in furtherance of, a crime of violence, which was discharged.

Three of the charges carry a maximum life sentence.
