Kanye West’s lengthy absence from social media came to an end on Wednesday (February 14) when ‘Ye reactivated his Instagram account to celebrate Valentine’s Day. He disappeared from Twitter and Instagram last year, deactivating both accounts in May 2017.
His lone post featured a picture of a simple holiday card reading “Happy Valentine’s Day Babe.” West didn’t include any caption for the photo.
Although West has been staying out of the public limelight for the last year or so, he has popped up in photos on his wife’s social media. Kim Kardashian-West posted a picture of the couple on Instagram just a few hours before her husband reactivated his account.
“I love you to infinity!” she wrote. “Happy Valentine’s Day!!!”
Yeezy’s return to social media is another good sign for fans hoping his musical hiatus might come to an end soon. Last November, the Hip Hop superstar showed up at a Kid Cudi concert to perform for the first time since West was hospitalized in November 2016.
